We did get some great beach photos and I have to admit, I will miss these days at the beach. I won't miss cleaning up the sand afterwards but the beach always brought smiles to these two boys. The pure joy of something so simple as digging in the sand or jumping over waves! It was a wonderful experience and the beaches in Destin truly are beautiful.
Let the fun begin!!
Grandma teaching the boys how to catch a wave!
If we weren't catching waves, we were making awesome sand castles and creatures!
Daddy's birthday was approaching and we needed to share a favorite restaurant with G&G so we headed to Tradewinds. It did not disappoint but I do have to say that Grandma scored big on her dish. We were all fighting for bites!!
Chicken ala awesome?! I really have not idea what it is but it's a new favorite!! The sauce was amazing! |
Chicken Marsala (the dish that taught Daddy just how awesome mushrooms can be!) |
Handsome boys! |
Happy Pre-Birthday Daddy! |
Ms. Iris came over for a quick visit. |
We sure do miss these beautiful ladies. Heather and Iris, we are only a phone call away! |
Later that day we celebrated Daddy's birthday with cake and awesome brownies from his incredible secretary. Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you!
Mmmmmmmm.....cake and brownines.....we should have birthdays more often!
