Mommy's Birthday!

The BIG 33!

I've noticed that every year I refer to my age as BIG. Not really sure why? Maybe because I feel like I'm still in my mid-20's! 30's seem so big compared to 20's. I've decided not to truly grow up which I think is healthy. :)

It was fun to try to explain to Lucas that I am 3-3 years old and he's just 3. That's a lot of fingers to hold up.

I had a wonderful day. It started with a photo session of Lucas and Axel. My dear friend, Erin, was in Dayton visiting for two weeks and came over to in the morning to photograph the boys. This girl is amazing and super talented. It has been so much fun to watch her business grow and when you check out her work you'll know why she's so successful. Erin used to be a Kindergarten teacher and sure has a way with kids...so fun to watch how they respond to her.

Click here to see a little "sneak peak" of the photos she took for us. THANK YOU ERIN! They are so beautiful!

Birthdays around our house mean CUPCAKES. Lucas gets to do-it-all-by-himself and boy were they yummy! THANK YOU LUCAS!

After Daddy came home from school, we headed to the Cheesecake Factory for a tasty dinner and dessert of course. We were smart this time around, we ate small dinners and really enjoyed the cheesecake aspect!

Daddy & Axel...handsome boys!
Kristina is part of the family and was able to join us too. :)
Kristina, Mommy & Axel
Daddy & Lucas. Lucas was a little antsy, it's hard to wait for DESSERT!
However, it finally came and he wasted no time to dive in!
We then headed outside to the water fountain. We have made numerous trips to these water fountains on hot days and Lucas rarely gets wet. He's very cautious and usually a little intimidated by the other kids. Not today, he was all about getting wet but it was a little chilly out. One of these days, he'll learn that it is much more enjoyable in the heat of the day. Regardless, he had a ball and it was a perfect location to run off some extra energy....and cheesecake.
I barely got these photos when he was running circles around me.
We then headed back home for birthday presents. Lucas is a big helper when it comes to wrapping and unwrapping presents. He wastes no time and get's sooo excited.
The best present ever! I love homemade (kiddo made) masterpieces...THANK YOU LUCAS & DADDY!
Oh, hugs too...I love birthdays!
Check out Lucas' shorts...yep, they're on backwards. So cute! Thanks for making my birthday so special! I love you all so much.

Happy birthday, Janelle! 33 is still so young. I love the sneak peek pictures of Lucas and Axel. I'm sure having those cute pictures made was almost as good as Lucas' homemade artwork. Here's to another great year!
