Our Performer

We headed to the Red River Gorge to participate in the Johnny & Alex Trail Day last weekend. All day was spent digging in he dirt making new trails and fixing old ones. Over 100 people helped out so the after party was no small get together. There was a giant slip-n-slide, raffle, free dinner, sting band, slide show and a memorial to Johnny & Alex all tied together with 5 kegs of beer. Needless to say, it was one exciting night but not before a little outdoor nap for this little man.
Lucas ran around like a wild man making new friends all evening. Then, he discovered the band and then the MICROPHONE!! He was so excited he could hardly stand it. Good thing he had his guitar. He opened for the band with a solo of Twinkle, Twinkle and then "played" with the band until intermission. Lucas has no fear when it comes to big crowds especially if there is a mircophone within reach. He was a little bummed he only got to sing one song but waited patiently for another turn. Skip To My Loo was his next song of choice and he didn't want to leave the stage. You can see it on youtube by clicking here.

Here's our little performer playing...watching...learning...dreaming!
Ladies, he'll be signing autographs soon enough. :)
